The Beautiful Moment

I came back from Umroh about 3 weeks ago, and I wanna to go back back and back to Mekkah and Medina. Subhanallah…I want to pray in Masjidil Haram and Nabawi and doing tawaf and saee again.

There are soo many memories, funny, sad, happy etc. I want to share my experiences all but I think I would rather tell it personally if you are here.

The Candidate

On my previous post I wrote about who will be the next Indonesian president and I said that perhaps Gus Dur will run again into the race of presidential election in 2009, against his rivals. But now he looks a like enthusiasm to support for Mr. Yusril Ihza Mahendra for the presidency. I think he already knew that he can’t run for RI-1, so he must hurry to find out and support other candidates. I was surprised to know that Gus Dur had chosen Mr. Yusril, former minister and his rival on the presidential election in 1999, but lately I know that both are closed friend. According to Antara.com Yusril said he was very optimistic about his chances in the election. His party, Partai Bulan Bintang, also supports him to try for the presidency.

Well it’s good! But don’t you remember, in 2003, on his statement on tokohindonesia.com, which said that he had no ambition to be a president unless his party won in the election / stayed on top position. Has Yusril have it now? Can he be our next president? Only god knows…

Happy Ramadhan 1429 H

Happy Ramadhan to muslims. Ramadhan is starting very soon. It’s not just a special moment for us as muslims, but it also a special time, a time for all to spending long hours worshipping to Allah. Fasting, it’s not to make us hungry and thirsty, it’s try out to be more patient and taqwa. We pray to Allah to always help us to take full benefit and we hope Allah keep us on the right path. How far is sex education is correct from an Islamic perspective?

Sex education should start in the home with your parents educating you first, before the school system does (especially if it is an un-Islamic school). However, the sex education communicated to children MUST be age-appropriate. If sex education is left to peers and schools in the West, it is usual that the information given is not within Islamic principles Any other physical forms of information that relate to marital relations should be left until the person seeks to get married. They should be well prepared for this and should not shy away from searching for Islamically appropriate information on this issue.

My Umroh Journey

Hello there…finnaly, I am back after a few days absent from this blogging activity because  I just back from Umroh. If you like my story, please read J

 

We went in a small group, about 12 people, and we trust this umroh to Paradiso Tour and Travel to manage everything we need in Jeddah, Mecca and Medinah. We went to Jeddah in 13 August, by Garuda Indonesia flight number GA 984 and took off from Jakarta in 08.20 WIB (about 12.20 in Jeddah’s Time).

 

I arrived in Jeddah for about 20.00 or 17.00 in Jakarta’s time. I saw the sun is still bright and I found a dry dessert. It’s completely dry and hot. After that, me and groups directly went to Medinah which took about 6 hour from Jeddah and stayed at Dallah Hotel, near from Nabawi Mosque. Wooooww….SUBHANALLAH….It’s beautiful mosque.

 

3 Days in Medinah than we continue to Mecca, we stayed at Ufuk Al Fateh Hotel, to have doing umroh. Before entering into Mecca we go to hill to put on ihram. It’s almost midnight when I reach the Al Harram Mosque. So many people was thawafing around Ka’bah. After Thawaf of Ka’bah than running between the hills of Safa and Marwah (Sa’ee) and after finish the umroh we clipping my hair.

 

The last day, we back to Jeddah and stayed in Holiday Inn. Before check out from the hotel, we spent the time in Balad / Chornice market.

Be aware of the potential hazards of paracetamol

Many researchers were surprised when they found out that too much paracetamol may cause liver damage. Previous studies had shown that Tylenol in combination with hydrocodone caused liver damage and might lead on to liver failure – expert had thought the lover toxicity was associated with hydrocodone.

Recent studies by Dr Eliam Lee of the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Centre, has documented that 38% of acute live failure cases in 22 hospitals in the United States were associated with excessive paracetamol usage. Also 35% of the study group were found to be suffering from severe liver damage as a result of paracetamol use.

Islamic School

 Now, Muslims in the Republic of Montenegro have the first Muslim school to accommodate students aspiring for Islamic education.  “After more than a 90-year, the school construction has done and will enroll students for the 2008/2009 school year.  The four-storey school, which will have a 16-room dorm, will open its doors on August 20 in the capital Podgorica. It will have facilities such as a library, a computer lab, a gym and a theatre,” Omer Halil Kajshaj, head of the foreign relations department at the Islamic Sheikdom of Montenegro. He also said this year only male student will accept, and open for girls next year.

The building of the 300 square meter school has cost €2 million, some  €1.5 million of which donated by a Turkish governmental instituion. The Jeddah – based Islamic Development Bank and a number of charities in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates donated the remaining € 500,000. The school comes to meet the needs of the Muslim minority in Montenegrom since it closed in the northen municipality of Pljevlja in 1918.

Homosexual….(Abnormal Life?)

No one is born as a homosexual. If people, men/women, become homosexual, I believes,  it because of their environments. Not created by a God, but create of human being. it’s kinda like disease of psychological which may cause of abnormal living and bring into the mental ill.

 

Right now, homosexuality is recognised across the globe. Netherlands is being the first country to permit marriage for homosexual/lity couples. Perhaps it likes paradise for them. 37 States across the US have blocked anti-sodomy laws. Events such as Mardi Gras in Sydney, Midsumma in Melbourne, Gay and Lesbian Pride in Johannesburg, Women’s Celebration Week in Greece, and the Gay and the Lesbian Film Festival in Lisbon express the essence of being homosexual. It’s horrible….Now, the issue of increasingly people who  becoming homosexual is not a new phenomenon. If you are muslim than you must know that in Islam homosexual is a sinful, a severe illnes and a grave calamity of course.

 

As this is becoming an increasingly dangerous issue, it is indeed important to clarify the attitude of Islam towards homosexuality.  what Islam says on this issue.
